Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy is by and between Gold Standard Advocates, Inc. (“Gold Standard”, “we”, “us” or “our”) and you (“you” a “User”) and sets forth the policies and practices for the personal information that we collects and receives from your use Gold Standard’s services (“Services”) that are delivered through the site http://www.specialeducationadvisor.com (which collectively with any other domain names that redirect thereto or similar Websites controlled by us that directs thereto, the “Site”).  By using or accessing the Site and the Services or any portion thereof, you accept the practices described in this Privacy Policy.

We respect the privacy of all Users of the Site, and unless otherwise set forth in this Privacy Policy or in the Terms of Use (which together with the Shipping and Return Policy form the “Agreement”), we will not release your Personal Information (as defined below) without your permission.  

Information Gathering AND DISSEMINATION

Some portions of the Site require registration. If you choose to register with the site, you will provide us with an email address and password that together identifies you as a registered user and creates your “User Account”. Your User Account identifies you to us and may also contain your personal preferences and saved items. The Site collects online contact information through your User Account and other various ways, including inquiry forms, registration forms, and surveys. This “Personal Information” is unique information that may identify you, or any other person, as a distinct and identifiable individual. The Personal Information collected may be used to send you information about our company, or to get in touch with you when necessary or to provide the Services.

COOKIES AND IP Addresses

Cookies are small text files that are placed on your computer’s hard drive by a webpage server.  Cookies are used to store a User’s preferences and to record session information.  Cookies are also used to prevent duplicative advertisements and to customize newsletter, advertising, and content on the Sites based on a User’s browser type and User Account information.  We do not link the information we store in cookies to any Personal Information you submit while on our site.

Children Under 13

We do not knowingly collect or solicit information on the Site from children under 13 except as permitted by law. If you believe we have collected any information through the Site from anyone under 13, please contact us.   By providing any information to us through the Site (e.g., through a form) about your child, you agree (a) not to provide your child’s name or email address, (b) to specify your child’s age, and (c) that we may use such information to respond to you and, as applicable, to provide the Services to you.

This Site has security measures in place to protect against loss, misuse and/or alteration of the information that you provide.  Please note that we cannot guarantee the security of Personal Information.  Unauthorized entry or use, hardware or software failure, and other factors may compromise the security of Personal Information at any time. However, we have taken every precaution technically possible to prevent any unauthorized access to the contents of this web server.

This privacy policy is governed by California law. By using the Site, you agree to that any and all controversies arising under this policy shall be resolved exclusively within a court with jurisdiction in Los Angeles County, California.
